Archaeor,
Archaeological
Consultants was founded in 1996 in order to provide cultural resources
research and management expertise to government, industry, and
individuals
throughout Central and Northern California.
Our company offers consultant services dedicated to the
responsible
management of cultural resources. These services include
providing
clients with compliance assistance to federal, state, agency-specific
regulations
and local requirements.
Our staff has considerable experience with regulations
such as the Archaeological
Resources Protection Act (ARPA), the California Environmental Quality
Act
(CEQA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the National
Historic
Preservation Act (NHPA), and the Native American Graves Protection and
Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).
Archaeor’s commitment to professional excellence,
direct project
involvement by the firm’s Principals, and a focus on quality control
and
best value for the client has resulted in the successful completion of
numerous cultural resources projects over the past seven years.
Archaeor is committed to working cooperatively with
planners,
developers, landowners, and public agencies, in order to help integrate
cultural resource issues into project development.
We are able to identify cultural resources, evaluate their
significance,
and provide appropriate mitigation recommendations in compliance with
statutory
guidelines during the project-planning phase and then develop
executable
procedures in order to protect the resource or mitigate any adverse
effects
on the cultural resources through project completion.
Our team of professional archaeologists,
historians and
cultural resource management consultants is devoted to contributing to
our understanding of California history through the application of
archaeology
and professional archaeological procedures dedicated to responsible
cultural
resources management.
